CLA Hoodia Weight Loss Gels
CLA hoodia weight loss gels...
There's no disputing that hoodia gordonii products have become a huge hit for people looking to lose weight.
Because of this, a plethora of products have hit the market to meet this demand but, in our opinion, a lot of these products are suspect at worst and not really necessary at best.
So called Hoodia CLA Weight Loss Gels are one of these that are suspect.
First, let's talk about what CLA is.
CLA is an acronym for Conjugated Linoleic Acid, which is a naturally occurring free fatty acid.
CLA is often used in weight loss products because research has shown that it helps build lean muscle while reducing body fat.
There's nothing wrong with this per se, and CLA is definitely an interesting supplement...and one that appears as an ingredient in many bodybuilding and fat loss supplements.
The problem, in our opinion, lies in the gel delivery mechanism.
It's not that gels can't work. Maybe they do -- or maybe they don't.
Our feeling is: why would anyone want to take CLA hoodia weight loss gels when the Sans Bushmen who have been using it for thousands of years don't use hoodia gordonii in this way.
Nor was a gel delivery system used in the one real study conducted so far to date (as of this writing in early 2006) by Phytopharm, the company that owns the patent to p57, the active ingredient in hoodia gordonii responsible for its appetite killing effects.
In our opinion, forget about hoodia gels or hoodia patches or any other crazy new fangled thing until such a time comes that they have been proven to work. And maybe that time will come in a few years as more research has been conducted.
Supplements or pills made from hoodia gordonii seems, to us, the best way to go....assuming you are using a product that is certified to contain real South African hoodia gordonii.
And this, using a product that contains real certified South African hoodia gordonii, should be everyone's biggest concern....because there are a lot of fake hoodia products, meaning they don't even contain real hoodia gordonii!
Hoodia gordonii is a limited supply commodity and there's simply not enough of it to go around. But that's not going to stop a lot of unscrupulous companies from stuffing their supplements with fillers and selling it as hoodia to capitalize on the demand and the high prices.
To be forewarned is to be forearmed.
