Facts, Advice & Opinions about Hoodia Gordoni

Hoodia Liquid Extract

Some companies that sell hoodia claim that their hoodia liquid extract is better and more effective than pills, capsules, and tablets.

But we have found absolutely zero proof that this is the case.

Now, we don't want to single out any particular seller of liquid hoodia extract, but suffice it to say that you'll hear the same arguments from them that run along the lines of the liquid extract being better than capsules or pills for the following reasons:

  • the liquid hoodia extract is more potent
  • hoodia liquid extract is more absorbable
  • the liquid extract will be more effective
  • the liquid extract will give you quicker weight loss

In our opinion, until they can prove any of these kinds of claims, it's all bunk...and some of it is even illegal!

Here are some things to keep in mind and questions to ask yourself when you run across impressive sounding claims and so-called breakthrough sophisticated technology and delivery system of ingredients like hoodia gordonii.

  1. If so called hoodia & liquid extract was so much more effective than pills, why do the giant pharmaceutical companies who spend hundreds of millions of dollars on researching, manufacturing, and producing drugs (and have to undergo very rigorous FDA approval) overwhelmingly produce pill/tablet forms of drugs and not liquids?

  2. The Sans Bushmen from South Africa who first learned about hoodia gordonii and who have been using the plant for thousands of years to suppress their appetite eat the plant -- chewing it, swallowing it, and digesting it. They don't use it as a liquid extract and they have been using it for an estimated 100,000 years!

  3. Nobody can claim their hoodia liquid extract will give you weight loss, let alone faster weight loss. This claim is downright illegal....unless their products have undergone extensive testing and not one company has undergone this testing so far except Phytopharm the pharmaceutical company that owns the patent rights to P57, the active molecule in hoodia gordonii responsible for its weight loss benefits.

Now, don't get us wrong, we're not saying pill or capsule or tablet forms of hoodia gordonii are more effective than liquid hoodia extract versions. Nobody truly knows until extensive studies comparing the two come out.

But saying you don't know is a whole lot more reasonable and ethical than making unsubstantiated claims or fabricating outright falsehoods.

In our opinion -- and again this is only our opinion -- we'd much rather use a capsule or a pill hoodia gordonii product because it seems to us, taking the hoodia gordonii plant, grinding it into powder, and encapsulating it for use is closer to what the Sans Bushmen do when they eat hoodia gordonii than taking any liquid hoodia extract is.

Also, millions of dollars of research and drug development from pharmaceutical companies almost invariably leads to the development of pills. So we'll stick to pills and capsules as our choice, even with non-pharmaceutical products like hoodia gordonii.
